Borneo adventure

This itinerary is for travellers who can afford to spend more time to truly experience Borneo. The journey begins at the colonial riverside city of Kuching, Sarawak. Here, you can devour some freshly caught seafood and local delicacies followed by a stroll along the scenic riverside. Bako National Park is only a short distance away where you can see wildlife in a natural surrounding, learn about different types of flora in a tropical rainforest and witness some of the most magnificent rock formation. You will then be taken up-river in a long boat to the deep forest at the heart of Borneo for a short stay to experience the simple lifestyle of the native tribe of the Iban. After that, you will take a short flight over the rainforest to Mulu, to visit some of the oldest and largest caves in the world.

In Sabah, you will climb the highest mountain in South East Asia before being given some relaxation time at a seaside resort. In Sandakan, you will be taken on a river cruise to the Sukau rainforest where wild orang-utans can be spotted sitting on tree trunks and families of proboscis monkey jumping from tree to tree. During your time here, you will be presented with unequalled opportunities for watching wildlife and be given the chance to do some jungle trekking to experience the wilderness of Borneo. For travellers who like to explore the underwater world, Sabah has some of the world's best diving sites in Sipadan and Lankayan.
