Following
the decision in
2004 by the Malaysian government to remove all resorts from the marine
sanctuary of Sipadan Island, divers are now required to take a
fifteen-minute boat ride from nearby island to dive at the
area. To further protect and enhance the marine environment,
the
number of divers that are allowed to visit Sipadan per day is also
limited and permits must be applied for in advance.
Due
to the richness of marine life at Sipadan, its seclusiveness given its
location and various conservation effort, and the attractiveness of
staying in one of the environmental-friendly resorts delightfully built on stilts, Sipadan is truly a paradise
for divers.
Hence
we have prepared this itinerary to give dive enthusiasts the best possible
experience from travelling to diving in one of the best diving
destinations in the
world. Hope you will like this
arrangement, despite Sipadan being one of the more difficult diving
