This itinerary attempts to bring out the best of Malaysia and is targeted for more casual travellers who cannot afford to spend more time in Malaysia.

The journey begins at the colonial riverside city of Kuching, Sarawak. Here, you can devour some freshly caught seafood and local delicacies followed by a stroll along the scenic riverside. Bako National Park is only a short distance away where you can see wildlife in a natural surrounding, learn about different types of flora in a tropical rainforest and witness some of the most magnificent rock formation. You will then be taken up-river in a long boat to the deep forest at the heart of Borneo for a short stay to experience the simple lifestyle of the native tribe of the Iban.

In Sabah, the Kinabalu Park and the Kinabatangan River provide unequalled opportunities for watching endemic botanical species and wildlife. You will be taken on a river cruise to the Sukau rainforest where wild orang-utans can be spotted sitting on tree trunks and families of proboscis monkey jumping from tree to tree. You will also spend a night at the Selingan island to get a unique first hand experience of watching turtle laying eggs and releasing hatched turtles to the ocean.

The final leg of the journey is the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, where you can enjoy the buzz and vibrance of the metropolis. And you will be spoilt with choices of cuisines from world-class restaurants to local hawker stall food (e.g. satay, Hainanese chicken rice, roti canai). Lastly, the extensive shopping places around should present you plenty of opportunities and ideas to acquire something back to the UK to conclude this wonderful experience.
